History:
The Aeolian-American Corporation was established in 1932 when Aeolian and the American Piano Company merged together. Because of an earlier series of merges with the American Piano Company, from 1932 to 1985, the Aeolian-American Corporation manufactured a long list of piano names: Aeolian, Acoustigrande, Ampico, Armstrong, Brewster, Chickering, A.B. Chase, Duo Art, Ellsworth, Emerson, J & C Fischer, Foster-Armstrong, Marshall-Wendell, Mason & Hamlin, Franklin, Gabler, Haines Brothers, Holmer & Sons, Knabe, Laffargue, Normandie, Lindeman, Primatone, Stuyvesant, Pianola, George Steck, Stratford, Stroud, Vose, Weber, Wheelock, among others.
